Hello Raiders! Your librarians, Mrs. Pilcher and Mrs. Kelly, can't wait to "see" you in the Media Center.
-We are back in-person but also available virtually to provide contactless pick up of books, assistance with assignments, and/or help with research...ANYTHING you can think of...we are here for you! Don't forget you can actually see us in-person or screen-to-screen on Google Meets every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday. and Friday during period 3 (join code ahs-mediacenter).
-To make requests easier to manage, there is a ONE-CLICK FORM called "I need a librarian/media specialist" (Links to an external site.) for you to use to get to us quickly and provide us with your full name and the email address you want us to use. Our goal is to get back to you as soon as possible.
-We can't wait for you to look through the PAC to request books, and even use the same form to make suggestions for our next purchases. It is your library so we want to get you your books or let us know what we need to purchase to make allow you to feel more connected to your library.
-When you request books or materials that you see listed in our Public Access Catalog (PAC), we will contact youdirectly about pick up. The HCPSS procedure for contactless pick up is as follows:
Contactless Book Pick Up Procedures:
Students will place requests for materials using this form (Links to an external site.), called I NEED A LIBRARIAN/MEDIA SPECIALIST (Links to an external site.).
Students will receive an email message to their preferred email address when their holds are ready for pick up.
Books will be placed on the cart outside the front entrance for student pick up. They will be wrapped in brown paper sleeves with the name of the recipient identified on the spine.
All returned books will sit in quarantine for seven days before circulating back out to households.
Books can be returned ANY DAY to a cart provided outside.
We are so excited to be back and can't wait to hear from you. Tell your friends:)
