Congratulations to Mr. Woomert and our Orchestra for being selected to perform as a featured ensemble at the 71st Annual Midwest Clinic International Band and Orchestra Conference. This prestigious event is widely viewed as the highest honor a school band or orchestra can receive. The Atholton Ensemble was one of only five string orchestras to be invited to perform out of the hundreds of instrumental groups who applied from all over the world. This level of success does not happen accidently. Under the leadership and dedication of Mr. Woomert, our orchestra program has paved the way for our students to maximize their individual talents and understand how to collaborate as a harmonious group. We feel the experience our students will gain by performing at the Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic will serve them in many areas as they pursue their future endeavors, both in music and in life.  A special thank you goes to our parents and our members of our Music Boosters for their continued support of our music programs. Our Orchestra will be performing a send-off concert prior to the conference on December 14 at 7:00pm at UMBC’s Linehan Concert Hall.  We hope you can join us.
