Atholton will be holding Safe Driving Meetings on August 20th and 25th at 7pm in the auditorium (only need to attend one). Both the student and a legal parent/guardian are required to attend the meeting prior to applying for a parking permit. Permit applications will be completed on site. Students must have a valid MD driver's license in order to apply. At this time, parking is reserved for seniors and for any juniors enrolled in internships through the GT mentorship program. We will be issuing permits on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost is $15 for the parking permit and we will accept cash or check. Doors will close promptly at 7 pm so please arrive early.
Students may also attend a Safe Driving Presentation at another HCPSS high school.
At this time, juniors not enrolled in the intern/mentorship program will not be eligible for a permit. As our renovation of our other parking lot concludes in October, we will begin issuing new permits to remaining seniors and potentially juniors, if space permits. There will be another Safe Driving Presentation at that time.
