Model United Nations

Model United Nations

Model United Nations (MUN) is a speech and debate activity in which students take the part of political and diplomatic leaders of states while role-playing their interactions in the United Nations, in crisis situations, in historic events, and other international relations scenarios. Model United Nations is an academic simulation of the United Nations that aims to educate participants about current events, topics in international relations, diplomacy and the United Nations agenda. The Model UN club seeks to explore the world of diplomacy, debate, and international current events through authentic simulation of the United Nations. It is open to all students who are prepared to commit to the team and the required participation. Projects will include attendance at a fall and spring conference. Interested students debate about contemporary issues that affect the international community and learn about the United Nations organization.
