Young Women's Giving Circle

Tue, 03/15/2016 - 11:36am

The Young Women’s Giving Circle is a group of high school, female philanthropists that work to raise awareness for the needs of women and girls in Howard County. We aim to foster greater passion for philanthropy and develop leadership skills through community engagement. In the past, we have supported organizations such as Girls On the Run of Central Maryland, Hope Works, Girls Who Code, Girl Power STEM, and Shari’s Promise through restaurant fundraisers, bake sales, movie screenings, volunteer events, and much more! YWGC is an incredible community, with others who share a passion for philanthropy, and develop a strong network to make a positive impact in my community.

This year, the Young Women’s Giving Circle is looking for new high school leaders to continue to expand our organization and carry our legacy forward. On April 10, 2016 from 2 - 4 pm in the Kittleman Room of Duncan Hall at Howard Community College, there is an open meeting for prospective members. At this event, attendees will learn about the goals of our group, interact with current members, and work on a service project.  All female students are welcome who want to make a positive impact in the community through philanthropy.
